BOOK CLUB – A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas

A Child’s Christmas in Wales is a piece of prose by the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas recorded by Thomas in 1952. Emerging from an earlier piece he wrote for BBC Radio, the work is an anecdotal reminiscence of a Christmas from the viewpoint of a young boy, portraying a nostalgic and simpler time. Join Smarty Cakes for a cookie workshop (Ages 14 & up).  Your session will include instruction on different techniques used in decorating cookies with Royal Icing and then you will have the opportunity to decorate your own cookies.  All materials will be supplied including our yummy sugar cookies which provide the perfect surface for you to work on.  Come prepared with ideas and your imagination and you will take home your amazing creations, our recipe for sugar cookies and royal icing.
